Alabama joined three other states Monday in filing a federal lawsuit challenging a new Biden administration rule about sex-based discrimination in education programs.
The rule, which is set to go into effect in August, prohibits discrimination based on "gender identity," something Idaho lawmakers debated at length in 2024.
